Kurefushi-no-sato, Kofun (ancient tomb) park

The huge Haniwa (a clay figure), Hanimaru-tower and the restored ancient tombs are the landmark at Kurefushi-no-sato, Kofun park.The park is getting popular because of its uniqueness. For instance, there are many large keyhole-shaped tombs mound in a specific tiny area.Not only having a great view from the Hanimaru tower, but you are able to learn how they unearthed Haniwa from an ancient tomb as well.

Directions •By Train or Bus:
Take the taxi from JR Uchihara station for about 10 min.
Or Take the bus from “AEON mall station Mito Uchihara” (7min. walk from JR Uchihara station)
toward Mito station until Nakahara for 7min. Then you will need to walk more about 20min.
•By car:
It takes about 10min. from Mito IC/Jyoban expressway.
Parking area is available. (incl. bus)
Open Opening hours at Hanimaru-Tower.

October 1 – March 31 at 9:00am – 4:00pm
Price Free of charge.
Closed Close on January 1 – 3 at Hanimaru-Tower.
