Lake Senba

The Lake Senba , the freshwater lake well-known as the “Oasis of Mito “, is located in Kairakuen Garden, one of three famous gardens in Japan. The Lake Senba and surrounding areas are popular among local people and tourists for abundant natural resources and comfortable environment. Many swans inhabit in the Lake. It is especially charming to take a swan-shaped boat and go sightseeing on the Lake Senba together with swans. In spring, lakeside is filled with cherry blossoms. Also, the decorative lighting at night is very beautiful.
