The Mito Botanical Garden

The Mito botanical garden is a western styled garden and is consists of a terraced garden, an ornamental big glass house, a greenhouse for the tropical fruits, the plants house, a lawn grass park and a rock garden.Throughout the year, you can see many varieties of flowers and a beautiful scenery.Besides, there are tropical flowers and bananas are also available in the greenhouse.The local plants exhibition and the events for children are available from time to time.

Directions	•By Train or Bus: Take the bus at No. 4 at the North exit of Mito Station, toward Mito Iryo center thru Sakuranomaki high school until the Shrine Kobuki. You need to walk more about 15min. afterward. Or at No. 6 at the North exit of Mito Station, toward City athletic field / for The plants park. ※For how long: about 25min. ※The fare: 450yen •By Car: It takes about 15min. from Mito IC / Jyoban expressway. Or takes about 20min. from Mito-Minami IC / Ibaraki-machi Higashi IC / Ibaraki-machi Nishi IC / Kitakanto expressway. ※Free Parking area is available for 350 standard-sized cars.

Price	300yen required for adults(250yen). 150yen(100yen) required for elementary and junior high school students. 150yen(100yen) required for seniors over 60 who lives in Mito-city / Kasama-city / Hitachinaka-city / Naka-city / Omitama- city / Ibaraki-machi / Ooarai-machi / Shirosato-machi and Tokai-mura. Group discounts Admission fee discounts are offered to groups of 30 or more.
Closed	Close on every Mondays. (If Monday falls on the National holiday, then following day will be closed, instead.) and around the year end/New year holiday.
