The Shrine Tokiwa

The shrine Tokiwa which is dedicated to both Nariaki Tokugawa, the ninth feudal lord of Mito domain and Mitsukuni Tokugawa, the second feudal lord of Mito domain.
There is The Giretsu gallery where you are able to see the biggest war dram in Japan and the documents related to Mito-gaku which was originally started by Mitsukuni Tokugawa, the second feudal lord of Mito domain.
Besides, there are Noh-gakuden (Kagura-den, Shin-den) which were escaped from the war damage.

Directions By Train or Bus:
Take the bus at No. 4 at the North exit of Mito Station, toward Kairakuen / The Shrine Tokiwa.
Or at No. 6 for Kairakuen.

Price 100yen(50yen**) required for the elementary and Junior high school students.
