The Shrine Yoshida

The shrine Yoshida which is dedicated to Yamatotakerunomikoto.It was originally built in around 485 – 498.
The Shrine Yoshida is the oldest one which is dedicated to Yamatotakerunomikoto in Japan. The Hitachi-Dai-Sangu was very much popular for the people who have a faith at the Kamakura period.
The festival is planned in mid October sometime at the weekend and is pretty much popular in Mito.
Within the shrine grounds, there is Sakaki (Japanese cleyera) and an Em-Musubi-Sasa (a bamboo leaf). According to legend, it is said that if you tie sasa(a bamboo leaf), properly. It makes a chance to find a good match.
